Our Services

NSI Contracting Project Engineers bring over 70 years of experience in design and management to the company. Our experience includes shoring systems for bridges and building reconstruction, for shoreline protection and erosion control along rivers and harbors, and special applications for pipe jacking and deep foundations of water treatment facilities.

Our installation teams are skilled in implementing shoring designs. Often working under pressure in high visibility situations, NSI works closely with field engineers and crews to ensure precise installation with minimal interruption to ongoing site activities.

Foundation/Excavation Shoring Systems

Foundation/Excavation Shoring Systems

Shoring is required to stabilize an excavation when an open cut dig is impractical or impossible. OSHA regulations dictate when slope stabilization must be employed. Sheet piling offers a practical solution to permit installation of subsurface tanks and pump stations, retention walls and building foundations. NSI professional engineers can assess and design sheeting systems to meet the most demanding applications.

Seawall and Shoreline Protection

Seawall and Shoreline Protection

The New England seacoast, noted for its fierce Nor’easters and hurricanes driving heavy wave surge puts tremendous pressure on the integrity of seawalls and shoreline facilities. NSI has recently completed a suite of projects tied to repairing seawalls, upgrading obsolete ramps and docks and a new intake for a drinking water supply.
